[2023/10/31 17:21] Sonja Bikergrrl: The passage looks to be a bit twisty and windy. It looks big enough for Leesha to get through easily. The mushroom area is hidden around the curves.

[2023/10/31 17:25] Alicia Frakture: Leesha looks up. Using her cooking knowledge she might now a bit about mushrooms so she is checking for things that would fall from above to feed the mushrooms
[2023/10/31 17:26] Sonja Bikergrrl: Looking at the mushrooms... these are not mushrooms you're even vaguely familiar with.

[2023/10/31 17:29] Sonja Bikergrrl: A close look... you don't see anything like eyes or appendages, they just look like large warty lumpy mushrooms

[2023/10/31 17:30] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: trying to recognize the mushrooms... and also inspecting the furniture and structures here to decide what this place -used- to be. A purely natural cavern, or like a decayed residence?
[2023/10/31 17:31] Sonja Bikergrrl: There's just a big natural looking chamber. It doesn't appear to have been lived in, not in a while, anyway. It's just a cave with filth and fungi.

[2023/10/31 17:31] Alicia Frakture: Any other openings in this room? Hallways and stuff?
[2023/10/31 17:32] Sonja Bikergrrl: A slow look round the chamber suggests there's a nook at the far end. The only opening seems to be the way you came in
[2023/10/31 17:33] Alicia Frakture: Leesha is going to move carefully to the nook

[2023/10/31 17:35] Sonja Bikergrrl: You squish stealthily to the nook. You can see a statue has fallen over and is half submerged in the muck. And... you didn't notice before, but now you're very sure the far end of the chamber is unnaturally dark. You can see what looks like a huge ribcage there.
[2023/10/31 17:35] ɗίηα ωíƖɗę ღ (kitten.venus): stays still and watches to see if anything changes in the chamber as Leesha crosses it carefully, mostly watching the fungi, doesnt trust the shrooms...

[2023/10/31 17:36] Alicia Frakture: Leesha is gonna be dumb and reset the statue setting it upright
[2023/10/31 17:37] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: "Seems like some sort of... refuse pit. Its gross how much the floor clings to the boots. Not much here in my view."
[2023/10/31 17:38] Sonja Bikergrrl: It's a statue, human sized, pretty bloody heavy... you right it up. It looks like some stern looking figure in authority (think a teacher holding his lapels). Worse, it's one-eyed... there was a second eye but that's gone, there's just a red stone where an eye would be.

[2023/10/31 17:40] Sonja Bikergrrl: It's absolutely filthy... but as you rub it, it becomes apparant to be a gemstone of some kind, reasonably valuable
[2023/10/31 17:41] Sonja Bikergrrl: You're sure of it now. Inside the huge rib cage, it's unnaturally dark.

[2023/10/31 17:52] Sonja Bikergrrl: okay... you cross back the way you came, and enter the bile passage, and you hear a low rumbling and gurgling sound
[2023/10/31 17:52] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: "Trying to open up the boulder. But I didn't bring a pickax."

[2023/10/31 17:54] Alicia Frakture: That does not sound good."

[2023/10/31 17:55] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: Debben checks her pack for a supply of marbles, planning to scatter them where an oncoming monster would likely want to walk.

[2023/10/31 17:56] Alicia Frakture: Leesha stops."That sounds like a stomach rumbling I think... Maybe we can just try to pry the boulder loose. We can use my wrench as a pry bar and try."
[2023/10/31 17:57] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: Debbens search comes up dry on marbles, "Something i meant to get before we got chased out of town last time. Ugh, yeah, we can try to pry open the boulder. Maybe even use it to block off the rumbling."

[2023/10/31 17:58] Sonja Bikergrrl: Returning to the entrance cave and looking at the boulder at the end of it: At the end of the chamber stands a large, discolored rock, blocking passage further in. A sharp, acid-y smell can be picked up coming from the gaps behind it.
[2023/10/31 17:58] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: "....I'm reconsidering if it's a good idea to release this boulder."
[2023/10/31 17:58] Sonja Bikergrrl: And on that note, we have our cliffhanger... what mystery lies beyond? :O
